Pranesh graduated with a double major in Information and Printing Technology at Anna University in 2007. Years later, Influenced and inspired by Michelangelo, da Vinci and Raja Ravi Varma, the father of modern art in India, he travelled to Europe in 2014 to study Art management and complete an intensive workshop to create the Renaissance Realism and European technique art works. Art has been present all his life thanks to his mother, who encouraged him to paint since he was a child. Who would imagine that it would become one of his biggest passions?
Years later he decided to complete his Graduate Degree in the United States because he considered that the U.S has a good track record of being the world leader in the Business Arena. With a clear goal in mind of exposing himself to a different culture and to enhance his knowledge in business, he came to the United States to do an MBA with concentration in Management Information Systems. Before winter break 2016, Pranesh went to a Thanksgiving event where some of the staff and faculty members at RIT were delighted by his art knowledge and suggested him to do a portrait of Dr. William W. Destler, President of RIT. He did not think twice and decided to do so as a way to show his love and gratitude to the RIT community: “It was an honor to do the portrait of the president of RIT, and with every brush stroke of color I made, I expressed my gratitude to my parents, beloved staff and faculty members of RIT, and the Grace of God Almighty for making this possible” He said.
Through his college friends, Pranesh heard about RGC and participated in events such as: Country Dancing at the Barn, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner parties. RGC has given him the opportunity to meet great people with a cross-cultural background: “I love RGC for their dear commitment to make the international students experience a home away from your country. I warmly encourage many to join the organization and celebrate the wonderful community of love and happiness they proliferate” he said. Through our events he met different friends from China, India, Colombia and told us that these differences allowed him to experiment with different cultures. He told us how happy he is to be part of this community and the warm welcome received from RIT and RGC: He said: “I love to share and listen life experiences with my friends because l learned something from them, and they learned something from me”.
“College life is amazing and I feel great because coming to the United states to study was definitely the best decision I have made, I would tell people to just let the power of Spirit guide them to realize all their aspirations and dreams”- Pranesh Das.
